STAY + TRAIN

Based on assessment during the Behavior Consultation. If interested in Stay + Train, an estimate can be prepared based on your initial consultation. The minimum length of stay is 15 days and the average is 20 days.

Available to clients that have completed a Behavior Consultation. This service is likely equivalent to what you may have heard called a "board and train" or a "boot camp"; we choose to call it Stay + Train because it better represents the overall approach and atmosphere of this service. Your dog is not boarding in a row of kennels, punctuated by bursts of intense training; rather, he or she has access to the home, family, other pets, and Real Life Rewards™ based on their level of training, how comfortable they are, and of course, safety.

When trained in this way (which is most like their environment at home), the learning is much more likely to generalize successfully back home when it’s time. Each pet is initially separated from all other pets and introduced in a safe manner, systematically. For situations in which they’re not comfortable with yet, we practice Safe Separation and Comfortable Confinement™ to keep all pets and people safe*.

Included with a Stay & Train is regular communication with updates throughout the Stay, a Drop-Off Training Session at the conclusion of the Stay, and a Training Session within 2 weeks of the stay.

The cost for a Stay & Train is dependent on the assessment following a Behavior Consultation. If interested, an estimate can be prepared with your write-up; simply include in your email the dates you’re interested in scheduling a stay.

*We are not a kennel, although, we will use a Safe Separation and Comfortable Confinement™ approach taking advantage of tools like crates, tethers, and other safety barriers to ensure all pets are safe and comfortable.
